+ about me +
I'm Courtney. I am a creative Strategy Director. I was born and bred a Vermonter, then razed and re-raised in Brooklyn. I play hockey every Wednesday and can complete the crossword at least through Thursday.

+ skills +
Branding
I've worked with startups through Fortune 500s on developing a cohesive brand strategy inclusive of naming, positioning, tone of voice, and — in concert with our design team — visual look and feel. My process is iterative and collaborative, helping clients get to the core of their purpose, understand the emotional drivers of their audience, and uncover meaningful connection points.
Campaigns
I love a campaign. Creative, data-driven, sprint work with measurable results? That's the fun stuff. I'll take the brief, conduct qualitative/quantitative research as needed, and identify a strategic platform with seeds of concepts to guide us. From there, I'm fully embedded in the creative team, exchanging inspiration and ideas with the Creative Director and keeping it on-strategy, always.
Internal Comms
It's not always the flashiest work, but garnering the buy-in and alignment of internal corporate teams is fundamental to any company's success. I've spent hundreds of hours interviewing employees and facilitating messaging workshops in order to deliver cohesive messaging plans, internal campaigns, and employee value propositions.
Copy + Scripts
Long form, short form, manifestos, website copy, social, video scripts — you name it, I'll write it. I have a particular knack for writing things that give people the feels, but I'm just as fluent in comedy as I am in corporate. It's about writing like a human who gets it — regardless of what *it* is.
Et Cetera
Strategy is about identifying opportunities and creating meaningful brilliance. In life as in projects, it's often the little tangents that lead to the big ideas. I started my career as an executive recruiter, have dabbled in film production, experiential events, podcast and video editing, VO acting, and more. All this to say — I'm down.
